Grooming training for our CCAs

We had the pleasure of welcoming the talented Chessie, from Dog in the Country Grooming, for an in-depth cat grooming training session for our CCAs Holly and Sarah.

Our team learned a great deal about coat types, grooming techniques, and how to get the best results from the tools we use. It was a fantastic opportunity to develop our skills and ensure we’re providing the best possible care for our feline patients.

Grooming is an essential part of your cat’s health and wellbeing. It helps prevent matting, reduces shedding and hairballs, promotes healthy skin, and allows you to spot any early signs of health issues such as lumps or skin irritations. Regular grooming is especially important for long-haired or older cats who may struggle to keep themselves clean. It’s also a great way to strengthen the bond between you and your cat. Whether done at home or with a professional, grooming helps keep your feline friend comfortable, healthy, and happy.

A big thank you to our wonderful feline models—Yuki, Bobby-Dill, Max, and Luna—who were incredibly patient and allowed us to practice and refine our techniques.

And of course, a huge thank you to Chessie for sharing her time, experience, and expertise with us. If your dog is in need of some professional pampering, Chessie is highly recommended.
