Cat First Aid
16/12/2024
Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of hosting a free educational evening on feline first aid and what an incredible evening it turned out to be! A wonderful group of cat lovers joined us here at the Cat Clinic in Horsham, to learn vital skills for keeping their furry friends safe, healthy, and happy.
The workshop was led by Nurse Hazel, with assistance from CCA Holly. Together, they guided attendees through a variety of critical topics designed to prepare cat parents for the unexpected.
Here’s what participants learned:
- Recognizing symptoms of illness: From subtle behavioral changes to visible signs of distress, knowing what to look for can make all the difference in early intervention.
-
Handling emergencies: Whether it’s an accident or an urgent health issue, we covered step-by-step actions to take to ensure your cat gets the care they need.
- Performing CPR on a cat: While we hope you’ll never need this skill, it’s invaluable in life-threatening situations.
Our goal was to empower cat owners with the knowledge and confidence to act quickly and effectively during an emergency—and the enthusiasm in the room was truly inspiring!
We were thrilled to see such a fantastic response to this event. The room was filled with passionate, attentive cat parents eager to learn how to care for their feline companions in the best way possible. It’s clear how much you all love your cats, and that energy fueled an engaging and memorable session.
The demand for this workshop exceeded our expectations, and we’re delighted to announce that we’ll be offering more feline first aid workshops in the new year! If you missed this one, don’t worry—there will be plenty of opportunities to join us and gain these life-saving skills.
Stay tuned for upcoming dates and details. Whether you’re a seasoned cat parent or a first-time pet owner, these workshops are a fantastic way to enhance your ability to care for your furry friends.
Thank You for Joining Us!
A huge thank-you to everyone who participated in this workshop. Your enthusiasm and dedication to your cats’ well-being made this event a true success. We look forward to welcoming you back in the new year for even more educational opportunities.
